LG Optimus L9 is a mid range smartphone with 4.7 inches IPS LCD display (234ppi), dual-core 1.0GHz Cortex-A9 processor, 1GB RAM, 4GB internal storage and 5MP rear camera. It is running Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich out of the box and upgradable to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.

Instructions For Root LG Optimus L9 With Official Jelly Bean Firmware With SuperSU:

  1. First, download SuperSU (, 1.0MB). In order to root LG Optimus L9, you must first unlock bootloader and install ClockWorkMod Recovery.   2. Connect your device to the computer via micro USB cable.
  3. Copy and paste all downloaded SuperSU files to your phone’s internal SD card.
  4. Turn off your phone and disconnect from USB cable.
  5. Press and hold Volume Up + Home + Power button and release Power button at vibration for boot into recovery.
  6. From the main menu in Recovery, select the install zip from sdcard, then select choose zip from internal sdcard, browse to folder location and select the SuperSU and click Yes to install.
  7. After the installation completes, go back to recovery’s main menu.
  8. Select reboot system now to reboot the phone.
  9. Now, your LG Optimus L9 should be rooted. Verify to see.
